Climate Hub Collaborations
Collaborations: Partnering for Success
At Salish Kootenai College, we recognize the importance of partnerships in strengthening our collaborations and fostering innovation. We are grateful for the support and partnership of the Waverley Street Foundation, which has made these collaborations possible.
In 2022, they awarded our Wildlife and Fisheries Department a significant grant opportunity to join their prestigious Climate Learning Hub Program.
With the Waverley Street Foundation Partnership, we are:
- Blending climate solutions with community needs.
- The partnership is helping SKC boost the capacity of our Natural Resource Department Programs.
- Propel climate-related education and research.
- Empower our Students to excel
- Support community engagement in projects and share knowledge
Thanks to Waverley Street Foundation funding, we've teamed up with other organizations to lend a hand with their projects. This means we can:
- Share resource and expertise
- Expand the impact of climate initiatives
- Build a stronger network of collaborative projects

United States Geological Survey (USGS), World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) played a crucial role in designing interactive maps and assisting in running the escape room activities.
